(more…)The weather on the evening of Monday, December 21 looks good for a Christmas Lights Ride. Let’s meet at the White Rock Alehouse parking lot at 7:00PM, planning to roll out at 7:15PM. We’ll do a slow loop through Lakewood with a photo op stop. Please bring lights for your bicycle.
And afterwards, for those of you interested and feel comfortable doing so, we will have a beverage on the patio at the Ale House when we get back, around 8pm.
(more…)We hoped to have our annual Holiday party as an outdoor-only event this coming Monday, December 14th. Unfortunately, with evening temperatures forecast for the mid to low 40s, that would make for an uncomfortable event. And, with the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, many people may not feel comfortable with an indoor gathering.
The Board, in trying to be respectful of the health and well-being of all our members. has decided the Club will wait for warmer temperatures to schedule a relatively short-notice Christmas Lights ride, hopefully followed by an outdoor beverage for all who are comfortable with gathering.
(more…)We would like to continue the long tradition of a club holiday party IF we can work an outdoor date at White Rock Ale House. Outdoor gatherings in December can be hit-or-miss, but we are still aiming for the regular second Monday meeting date – Monday December 14th.
We’ll keep you posted as we get closer to the date, and if anyone does not feel comfortable attending any kind holiday gathering at this time we respect your preferences.
(more…)We will be holding our team meeting this Monday, November 9, 7:30PM at White Rock Ale House. We will be outside on the back patio. Come on by and the Club will buy you a beer! However, we’ll let you order your own food.
Club officer elections will be held in December. President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are all elected positions. While the current officers have all indicated they are willing to continue in their roles, don’t let that stop you if you want to participate. Throw you name into the hat! The Club is always looking for people with energy and ideas! And even if you don’t want to be an officer, the club has other positions which are appointed.
If you want to be involved with club duties, there’s always a place for you. This is YOUR opportunity to step up and be a part of the best cycling club in Texas! Please let Dave Sywak (dsywakguy1@sbcglobal.net) know if you would like to be a part of the club administration.
We just closed the team store at Hyperthreads. Hopefully you were able to order something that will be on its way soon.
Don’t forget to fill out the Mirage Points Reimbursement form for all of your November activities and bring it to the meeting. Go here for an explanation of the Points. Remember, Points are worth gift certificates from our sponsor Richardson Bike Mart.
